I heart james victore....

Continuing this week's ceramics theme, I bring you James Victore. Trying to pick just one of James Victore's plates proved to be impossible. Luckily, I make the rules around here so I can show you as many as I like. Mr Victore draws these with a fat black paint pen so each one is unique. Unfortunately, they're completely out of my price range (but feel free to buy me one), but I guess if you have stuff in MoMA, you can charge a little extra.

I heart ceramics....

Many of you know that already, of course. I'm in the process of designing a new range to follow up my "Pleased to meat you" plate series, though things are moving more slowly than I'd like. I'm having problems finding a kiln for starters! Not to worry - I'm sure everything will come together....

In the meantime, I thought I'd share some things I've come across in recent months. Today I bring you the "Harrow Ladies Luncheon Club" plate set by Emma Houlston for Narrative. Aren't they great?! I think my favourite is "don't put your elbows on the table".

Amazing ceilings, terrazzo bathroom floor with pedestal basin, beautiful archways, original glass lights. What is there not to love? Swoon....

Happy birthday to the sunday project....

Oh dear, can you believe I missed my blog's first birthday yesterday? What kind of mother am I?! I found these fantastic cupcakes on flickr, which lead me to their maker - A Baked Creation. I am, without any doubt whatsoever, NOT a baker. Trust me, I've tried. I figure it's because I don't have a sweet tooth (that's my excuse anyway).

Anyway, happy birthday to me! It's been a fun year, and this blog has made me find the time (though not of late!!) to try my hand at some creative pursuits. It's inspired me to keep at it and maybe one day give up the day job. Plus, I've made some brilliant friends here in blogland. Yay!

Excuses, excuses....

Hmmm. Things have been very quiet here at the sunday project.... I do apologise, but think i have some valid excuses. I'm moving house again after all, and buying a house, and trying to find a tenant for my current abode. Oh, and I did a 17 hour day at work this week. Does all this count? The point i'm making is that I'm only human, and when something's got to give, it's often the more pleasurable stuff - for me that's the sunday project....

I hope things will change soon. Wait for me?....

Getting chilly?....

Blanket is here!  Ok, that only works if you're heding in to winter like I am.  But the point is, the new issue of Blanket Magazine is out now! This issue is the portrait issue, and as a contributor to the website, I and the other contributors were asked to answer a few questions about portraits.
