Thrifting (as the Americans say)....

I found this cabinet at the Lion's Garage Sale which happens every second Saturday here in Margaret River.  I spotted it across the room and RAN (towards it).  Obviously it needed a bit of lurve, so I visited The Brick House to find Morgan's post on refreshing vintage wood (tried and tested before).  First job was to put the drawers in the right order so that the veneer lines up and they close properly!  I'm super happy with how it's turned out, but it's not quite finished yet.  I'll show you the inside soon....

Oh, and it was all of $15.  Shazam!!

15 bucks! amazing!

hey, in response to your comment on my blog.. i posted an update with all the info about where i ordered my tissue ball decorations (from partycheap in the states), but i've noticed that lark has a pretty good selection in oz too.. http://www.larkmade.com.au/products/party/decorations.html?p=2
i would have like to have some of the bigger 19" ones in blues and not just whites, but they didn't have any in stock at the time so i made it work with what they had available. you can see what a similar combo looks like with the large coloured ones in what i did for mirka's first birthday. anyway, hope that all helps! x
